Biography
Logrieco Antonio F., Director of Institute of Sciences of Food Production, National Research Council of Italy, Scientific responsible, coordinator and participant of various national and international projects dealing on food safety, with particular attention on mycotoxin problem. He maintains an extensive international fungal culture collection that includes many Aspergillus and Fusarium type-strains. He was President of ISPP “Fusarium Committeeâ€, member of organizing committee and invited speaker in various international meetings and referee and editor of various books and international journals, including World Mycotoxin Journal and Phytopathologia Mediterranean. • 1993-98: Vice-chairman; 99-2003 Chairman of the “Fusarium Committee “of the international Society of Plant Pathology (ISPP); • 1998-2004: Chairman of European COST project (835) entitled: “Agriculturally Important Toxigenic Fungi†• Co-founder of International Society For Mycotoxicology • Secretary of International Society For Mycotoxicology • Organizer, Fusarium Laboratory Workshop, Bari – 2006 • Instructor, Fusarium Laboratory Workshop. Research Interest
His research interest include Mycology, molecular/bio-chemical characterization of microrganisms and their active secondary metabolites as well as relevant experties in genetic and fermentation technology.
