Biography
Since 2000 she has worked at ITEM (later become ISPA) firstly as volunteer and then she has Participated in various national and international research projects, RAMFIC (EU-QLRT 1999-00284), DeTox-Fungi (EU-QLRT 1999-01380), OCHRAWINE (EU-QLRT 2000-01761), GOODFOOD (EU-IST 2002-508774), SINSIAF (MIUR-PON), SIVINA (MIUR), MBLab (MIUR DM19410). Research activities have mainly focused on molecular and epidemiological. In 2006 she has reached PhD in “Agro-food productions’ defence and qualityâ€, thesis:†Molecular characterization and diagnosis of toxigenic fungi in food: qualitative and quantitative detection of Aspergillus carbonarius in grapes by real-time PCR†at “Università degli Studi del Moliseâ€, Campobasso. In 2007 she has reached the Clinical Biochemistry Diploma at “Università degli Studi di Bariâ€, Faculty of Medicine and surgery. In 2008 she has got a forward contract (ex art. 23) and in 2009 the permanent position as Research Scientist at the Institute of Sciences of Food Production-CNR, Bari. At the present she is involved in the following projects: EU project MYCORED-VII FP, MbLab-Molecular Biodiversity Laboratory funded by MIUR, INNOWINE funded by Apulia region and in the project of genome sequencing of A. carbonarius carried out by ISPA-CNR in collaboration with US DOE (Department of Energy)-JGI (Joint Genome Institute).
Research Interest
